The Arc of Indiana County is thrilled to present a dynamic Emergency Preparedness Training experience for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities—and the professionals who serve them—led by inspiring self-advocate, Ethan Puskas! This powerful initiative includes three impactful events aimed at building stronger community connections, improving safety outcomes, and fostering inclusive emergency response practices:

☕ Community Response Breakfast: Bringing Everyone Together📅 September 12, 2025 | 🕗 8:00 AM-10:00 AM📍 Hilton Garden Inn – Indiana, PA

  • A 911 commemorative and collaborative Training breakfast open to all training participants
  • Opportunity for self-advocates, first responders, and medical professionals to connect, reflect, and continue learning from one another in a relaxed and inclusive setting

🚨 Training for First Responders & Medical Professionals
📅 August 18, 2025 | 🕠 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM
📍 The Arc of Indiana County – 120 N 5th Street, Indiana, PA 15701

  • Learn how to respond effectively to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities during emergencies
  • Gain insight through real-world scenarios and first-hand experiences shared by Ethan Puskas and others
  • Earn 4 hours of EMS clinical Continuing Education (Con-ed)
  • Receive a sensory kit to use in the field when engaging with individuals who may require additional support
